The Knotted Project believe that in a world of mounting pressure on young people & teachers, creativity is getting squeezed out of the school curriculum. Young people are being pushed towards academia, facing tests & exams on a regular basis.

Mental and Emotional Health issues are on the rise & never before, has creative education & the arts been more important. Giving young people the chance to express themselves, blow off some steam & have some fun is essential & that is what The Knotted Project always hope to provide.

As physical theatre practitioners, The Knotted Project love to burn off some energy & have fun.

TKP sessions are full of games and challenges, aiming to upskill participants in creative techniques & disciplines, whilst learning how to make their own theatre & performances.

Sessions can be tailored to meet the needs & targets of each group or individual. The goal is always to promote self confidence in participants.

TKP are highly experienced facilitators & have directed creative learning projects & youth theatres for leading arts centres & venues including The Lowry, The Brewery Arts Centre, Burnley Youth Theatre, & The Dukes to name a few.

TKP facilitators have Full & Enhanced DBS Certificates & First Aid Training. TKP are also trained in Child Safeguarding & Arts Award Discover, Explore & Bronze.

Based in Cumbria, TKP regularly deliver sessions across the North West of England but are available to work anywhere in the UK. If you feel that The Knotted Project could provide a creative learning service for a venue, school or group that you know, please get in touch via the ‘Contact’ page.
