The Knotted Project’s most exciting and ambitious project to date, our first arts festival, created with and for young people across Cumbria.



An interactive experience by The Knotted Project for families at Windermere Jetty Museum. Collect clues and follow tracks to uncover the mystery, hidden beneath the surface.

Forge The Future Film


A 45-minute film, created and filmed in lockdown in 2021 by young people in response to the pandemic.



An original 15-minute dynamic & visual performance piece co-created with young people, performed at Lakes Alive Festival in Summer 2019.

Time To Bloom


A heartfelt production exploring grief and the pressures that Young Carers face. Co-created with Salford Young Carers, Gaddum and commissioned by The Lowry.

The Chit Chat Chalk Show


An interactive, touring dance theatre adventure for children aged 3+ and their families, exploring emotional intelligence through colour.

Outside The Igloo


An interactive touring production for children aged 4+ and their families. A magical story about having adventures, taking risks and being brave!

Inside The Igloo


An illustrated, rhyming, published story for children 3+. This magical book reminds every child that adventures can be found anywhere. All you need is an imagination!

Reflections Of Me


A stunning dance theatre show in development for children aged 7+ and their families, exploring identity and what makes us unique.
