Our Partnership
The Knotted Project has collaborated with Hawk Dance Theatre as KnottedHawk in an exciting partnership since 2016 to develop unique dance-theatre productions that have toured extensively across the UK and beyond.
Together, we make work for children aged under 10 and their families. Creatively both companies are driven by a passion for relevant and thought-provoking storytelling, stunning visual imagery and creating work for children and young people that makes a difference.
Our multi art form work tours to a broad range of settings such as libraries & theatres, both urban & rural, but always where audiences need is the greatest. Our work speaks to young audiences & families to inspire & motivate, whilst delivering strong messages such as the importance of identity, friendship & belonging.
We aim to bring exceptional quality performance to any space that we tour to, accessible and inclusive to all. We hope to leave audiences motivated & inspired to be creative & to value the role that creativity can play in their lives.
Since 2016, TKP & HDT as KnottedHaswk have collaborated to create multiple touring shows for young audiences, such as; The Chit Chat Chalk Show, Outside the Igloo, Inside the Igloo and now The Greatest Robot Ever and The Quest for Planet P all supported through Arts Council England Project Grants.
Our creative process is informed by the communities that we work with and we are passionate that everyone deserves the right to access high quality art and culture experiences. We believe that working together, we can be more ambitious in our work and ambition and strongly believe that our unique collaboration raises the bar and expectations for young people’s focused work.
