An interactive experience for families at Windermere Jetty Museum.

The Knotted Project were commissioned by Lakeland Arts in 2021 to create an interactive experience for families at Windermere Jetty Museum. The experience, in place from May 2021-Spring 2022 encourages families to become investigators and explore the hidden mystery that Windermere Jetty Museum holds!

A creature has been spotted and we need investigators. Collect clues and follow tracks to uncover the mystery, hidden beneath the surface.

This world-class attraction, embedded in the Lake District is thrilled to offer a new experience that makes the most of its outdoor spaces and introduces a new immersive, interactive experience inside.

Created in collaboration with The Knotted Project and spatial design specialists field.studio, Wrecked! reveals a fascinating insight into the perils of Windermere’s long-lost ships, prompts new thinking about the human impact on the lake, and embraces families spirit of adventure with a trail covering all corners of the museum.

Senses will ignite through touch, colour, light, and sound to reveal intriguing stories, myths and tales of the lake.
